man that car is a walking timebomb no history at all was renewed but that it I would walk away on that car.

FWIW, it's on the nsx wiki: http://www.nsxprime.com/wiki/JH4NA2161YT000048

And was prime member owned (BrubakerC), at least before it sold to the last owner: http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php/47031-2000-Monaco-Blue-NSX-T-JH4NA2161YT000048

Yeah I saw that...thanks! Anyone else have any history on this car? I am trying to work out a deal and just want a solid and clean NSX. A CTSC and some other mods were put on the car by the current owner, and he has documents for everything. All the work was performed by Shane at Autowave in HB.

I don't trust carfax's ability to report an accident.

I know this when my friend had a SEVERE accident that should have totaled the car and he never sent that report to the DMV for incidents over $750 in damages.

A couple of years later (for shits and giggles) he looked up his VIN and it didn't show it.

If you really want the proper information you need to work at or make friends with someone at an auto insurance company.

They use this service that records and reports ANY and ALL insurance claims for the life of that VIN.

The ONLY way the person can even get around that is if that person didn't make a COMP or COLL claim and fixed outta pocket. Most outta pocket repairs have shortcuts.

One suggestion I can provide: Since this car was last registered in newport beach, call around the newport beach acura/honda dealers and nsx recommended shops, provide the VIN# and request the service history on the vehicle.

When I bought my car, my carfax actually showed the tb/wp service as an item, and showed the dealer that performed it. I called the dealer, gave them the VIN# explaining it was a used car I was about to buy, and the service manager was happy to look it up and give me the entire service history of the vehicle. Got a ton of more info out of that call than the carfax could ever have provided, and gave me quite a bit of "peace of mind." Lucky for me, the service manager was familiar with the car (not many NSX'es come around), and was able to tell me that it was in good condition and that the owner took good care of it, etc.

Dealers don't usually share these things amongst each other though, as they don't have a centralized database to track it. You may have to call around a bit before you get a hit.

Whatever you decide, good luck!!
