Can anybody supply any pics of taking the fuel tank out?

What problems are you having? The service manual was good enough for me. Removing the hoses are a bit tricky though.

Just make sure you drain the tank via the drain plug.
 
The best way to remove rubber hoses (coolant hoses, gas hoses, air hoses) is to use a small flathead to wedge between. Then use a can of silicone lubricant with a straw attachment to spray in between. Let is sit for 10 secs and then wiggle them off with the flat head wedge in between.

To put them back on, I use a little spray of silicone as well.
