can a 97 and up clutch fit in a 93

having trouble finding an aftermarket clutch for my 93. found a 97 and up clutch for $650 from centerline or clutchforce. i am trying to avoid paying $1500 for the factory clutch. all input will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

The single disc clutch will bolt right up to your 93. It must have flywheel to go with it. You will not need to change the main shaft on your 93.

Well I stand corrected.

However, the gap in the rear set of splines seems to have less travel distance than the single disc mainshaft.

I know you work on NSX's a lot, have you had any "hung" disc's?

Yes, it will bolt up, however, the clutch you are refering to is just the pressure plate and disc AFAIK. You will need the dual mass flywheel which is quite expensive from the dealer.

I have a 97+ stock flywheel/clutch collecting dust here, I haven't measured/inspected it for parts but I could do so later today.

I have not fit a 97> singel disc on a 96< NSX yet, I do have a 97>oem flywheel and clutch sitting on the shelf waiting to be installed on my own car when it wears out.
