CalCoastalNSX Meeting-July 17th-IMPORTANT! New meeting location in Santa Monica!!!

You are invited to our monthly meeting of the CalCoastalNSX group on Thursday, July 17th. @ 7:00 P.M. This is a reminder and our monthly meetings will be on the third Thursday of every month.

Topic of events are as follows: An NSX with a Boostzilla installed is scheduled to show up for a close up view of the new system and to feel the power in exclusive test rides.

Okay, this is an odd and highly unexpected situation. The next CalCoastal meeting is going to be less than 15 minutes from where I work, yet I may not be able to make it.

I have a very important deadline on the 19th...a deadline that already has me working past 1am every single fricking day (including July 4th and this weekend). And, unless I'm mistaken, I may have another reason that I can't leave the office on that day.

DAMN!

Of course, I still have to take the time to eat dinner...

You are either really really dedicated, you get paid really really BIG $$$$, or you own the place. You have to eat!! No fuel = no brain power!!
 
Scott, you misunderstand me. I'm saying that I have to eat, meaning that I might be able to use that as my excuse for sneaking out and attending the meeting. As is, I eat most of my meals (lunch and dinner) at the office.

I guess I fall under the category of *foolishly* dedicated employee as I definitely don't own the place (and my bosses get paid the really really BIG bucks ). :eek:

Hi all,

It's also looking good for El Torito honoring Happy Hour for us even though we'll be seated in the restaurant. Normally, Happy Hour is only honored for those who are at the (packed!) bar. El Torito has an awesome happy hour, the various appetizers you can order are really good & the prices are *really* cheap. Happy Hour ends at 8pm by the way.

Hey Marc. If I recall correctly, isn't El Torito in the same area with the Cocos and Carrows restaurant on Ocean Park? If so that is an enormous, empty parking lot which would be awesome for the club. Is that where it is?

Correct! The El Torito is between Carrows & Coco's (it's the next restaurant over (west) from CoCo's). Big parking lot -- yes! (That was one of the reasons the restaurant was selected).

If we get a good turnout for the event and people want to use the location again, if someone gives me a few cones I'm happy to go there early & cone-off an area for us too. (It's a block away from where I work).

In that case, I'll be there at 7:30 or earlier and make good use of Happy Hour. =) It'll be good to see everyone again. :)
 
w00h00! I haven't gone to a single cal-coastal meet since I moved to LA in October because of time and location. But El Torito is 5 minutes from where I work, so I should be able to make it no problem. Is this for July only, or will it be a more permanent change?

Now, if I can just get my car washed before next thursday so I don't embarass myself....

Oh Oh!!! And if Mark (NSX-Ster) will be attending, or anyone else who has a copy of the autocross and prime canyon drive DVD's, can someone please bring me a copy? This is the first meeting I'm able to attend in about half a year so it'd be nice if I could get my hands on those. =) Thanks!
 
I really wish I could make it up for this monthly meeting, but work is still a bit too busy for the two and a half hour drive to get up there. Things should calm down by next month, so I hope you guys have it there again next month, and I might be able to make that one.

Hey Mark, did you get a chance to make a copy of the tape I gave you yet? I haven't watched it since last month and am having withdrawals. :)

Can a current M3 and future NSX owner come??? I work a few miles from this meet spot and would love to see a few beasts and drink a few drinks.
 
if i wasn't expecting a baby now, i would LOVE to go meet everyone there....there are plenty of screen names that i need to put w/ a face.

Have a good olde time guys......................
