So, Ive got the package from Calabogie.

As you would expect, it is more expensive than Mosport, but cheaper than (I think) Tremblant.

2006
Weekend $6800
Weekday $5200

Plus
Ambulance $1000
Workers $800
Tow truck $300

So basically $8900 for a weekend and $7300 for a weekday.

2007
Pro track price increases to $7600 and $5800, weekend and weekday, respectively.

It says that all cars MUST have mufflers and that EVERY car will be inspected and noise tested under full acceleration before it enters the track. 92db limit at 50 ft.

Weird, I look at the photos and I see fack all around the track, except for trees.

Lots of street legal cars, including possibly mine, may not meet these metrics. Could be a risky track to plan a trip to, although I dont know what 92db at 50ft is like.

I believe that a stock S2000 at full throttle is 91db at 50ft. So I imagine anyone with a loudish stock car would be pushing the envelope, and anyone with any exhaust mods, would be over it.

I wonder if they're really testing every car.

If yes, I cant see many cars meeting the noise limits.

The owners have gotten back to me again and have assured me that noise limits should not be a problem.

Under their parameters, they're able to run a 150 bike superbike race, they say.

We'd probably be okay if that is true.

So 15-20 cars makes it affordable, lets start a count and pick our own day:
1) Dave
2) Stu
3) Andrew
4) Shane
5) Daria
6) Peter
7) Rui
8) Mario
9) ...?

I was there last week to try out the track, and yep, they tested every car (even the stock Miatas that sounded like a sewing machine).

I have the R&M exhaust on my NSX and it's on the loud side at around 6000 rpm. My car read 94 db (but they were not standing 50 ft away - more like 6 to 8 feet away). I was told that the limit at that distance was 105 db. I can't see any "street legal" car failing that!
