c clip tips on door lock assembly

Usually not an issue unless the C clip is really tiny. Use forceps or self closing tweezers to hold the clip with the open end positioned in the retaining groove and then use needle nose pliers to squeeze the clip into the groove. Laying out something like an old cotton bed sheet on the floor under the work area can be useful if the clip happens to pop out of the forceps and go flying before it gets locked in place on the shaft. It won't bounce as far on the sheet and it is much easier to spot than on your typical garage floor.
