I'm finally getting the car i adore. It's a '92 with 75k miles. I've read reviews of the 91 and 92 that warn about transmission problems, to the point where they had to replace them! What do you suggest I pay attention to when I go checkout the car tomorrow? Anything specific related to the possible transmition problem?

Is the mileage something to be cautious about as well? thanks for your help!

thanks - that answered almost all my questions

the other question i had is - what year did the nsx get power steering?

edit: found it in the FAQ

LMAO! thanks for the tip on getting the carfax report before doing anything. I just got off the phone witht the seller - he said he couldn't give me the VIN # (wasn't at home) and then he said i didn't need it...i told him i couldn't buy the car without running the carfax check first...so then he says, "well, if you run a carfax it's just gonna show you that it has a salvage title".

omg

ah HA! Good catch! I'm glad to see Carfax actually work out. I don't understand why people don't just admit something as enormously obvious as a salvage title... Bastages...

Hey ADV- I have called this person too- it seemed real iffy, he is a dealer and didnt know the ins and outs of the NSX, it turned me off, and sooo cheap too brings an eyebrow up. I also think that it may have been in the trader b4, and he bought it and is now selling it, I could of swore I saw it for about 30k a month back...let me know if you go look at it..

the guy told me he was a dealer at first - then he said "well, i'm not really a dealer but i buy and sell cars..."

i wouldn't even consider a salvage vehicle.

TGFC
