I had my first experience ordering from an advertiser on this site and would like to share it with others that use NSX Prime! My '91 has an ABS valve that sticks most of the time, so I looked through the "for sale" list and found a person who had one for sale. Over the phone, Mike Phan (BlKeViL) told me that it had been from his own '92 that he wrecked about 10 months ago. Pictures were sent, but unfortunately, they don't tell if the valve is going to work. When my mechanic (who has a '95 NSX) and I looked at both valves side by side, mine looked to be in much better condition. Phan said that it was working before the wreck. After an hour of trying to get it to cycle, my mechanic gave up and reinstalled the original valve. So I sent an email to Phan telling him that the ABS pump didn't work and that I would like my money returned. Here was his response:
"Richard,
It was working when I removed from the car, I dont know what to tell you here. I cant refund the money for you, the fluid was in there until I shipped to you and I confirmed with you thats what you wanted."
In a phone conversation, we had agreed that if it didn't work, I could return it and get my money returned. $375 down the tubes!
One solution, as I'm sure that I'm not the only one burned, is to have some kind of an escrow account where funds are deposited until the product is shipped and accepted.
