Good day,
I know that you are interested in a car
located in the US,but I must first tell you that the
car is currently located in Italy.I had to list this vehicle in the
US,because
I want to sell it there, beeing an US model....Two months ago I had to move
to Italy with my job ,and I took the car with me.Here in Europe I had an
unpleasant surprise because the car is an US model, and It will never pass
the European emissions standards,so I will not be able to register it here.
I have tried to sell it locally but it was not succesfully. That is why I
am trying to sell the car in USA, there will be no further problems because
the car passes US emissions standards as long as it has been purchased in US
space. If you are interested in buying it,I will need your zip code so I can
estimate shipping and if you are a serious person I will let you know
further instructions to finalize the transaction succesfully.I am asking
also seriousity from your side because I have a lot of persons interested on
the car and I have to know each way to go.
Thank you for your time.
Mike.
Ps:The price and mileage are correct.

Hello,

I am glad that you are interested in my car and I can asurre you that it is
the
perfect car that existed, also it is in perfect shape, has never been
involved in any accidents, has no scratches , and the engine runs
perfectly.The title is clear,and it's in my posession(no liens etc).The car
has been inspected before sale and has updated all the 2004 USA emissions
and DOT standards. It has a clear title wich you will receive it with the
car.The title, all the paperwork needed to register the car under your name
in US and also a notorized paper signed by the power of attorney will
come,in wich if you accept the car you will be oblied to transfer me the
established amount in 10 days period, and if the car is not suitable for you
from any reason, your money will be fully refoundable and I will take the car
back on my cost.
I preffer to use Lufthansa carrier for shipping because I am pleased with
their services,I have used them to bring the car to Italy, and it has
arrived with no scratch because it was professionally crated. The car will
land on the closest airport to your address and then on trailer to your home
and I will provide you the tracking number in the same day that the payment
has been sent,so you will inspect the shippment route online on their
website, beeing insurred that the car is coming to you. The estimated time of
delivery is 5 days. After checking with Lufthansa,I found that the shipping
costs to your zip code is $2700.I know it's a bit to much, but I'm willing to
cover the shipping fees due to my location, and you will not pay extra for
it.About the payment,Lufthansa company accepts payments only via EU plan
system (I'll have to pay in Euros)because it is an european carrier that is
why i will be charged for the cost and i need a sort of a downpayment.
We dont know eachother at all and it's normal not to trust eachother in the
way two friends would do since we are totally strangers. Here is what I
propose. In order to go further with this deal,I suggest $2700 as a
downpayment.
This will make me feel comfortable.I will
not ask for money from you because you haven't seen/
test driven the car yet.I would prefer the deposit made via
Western Union because this is the fastest way to send money in
the world, and we will act like we are using an escrow service.
To arrange the transfer, you must go in person to a Western
Union office and send the money from your name and address to my name and
address. But for your safety you can make the deposit from your name and
address to WHAT NAME DO YOU WANT HERE IN ITALY(EG:YOUR WIFE'S NAME ,FATHER'S
NAME,GRANDFATHER'S NAME OR WHAT NAME DO YOU WANT)so you can be sure that the
funds will stay with WU until you receive the car(And you can keep the
receiver's name if you want,so I will not be able to make a fake ID to
collect
the money because I will not know the recipient's name). After receiving and
inspecting the car,you will wire me the ballance, and you will change the
receiver's name at WU so I can collect my money. This seems the best solution
for us cause on one hand I can see you really have the money and are serious
about buying my car, not just a teenager interested in my car but with no
money, and you on the other hand are safe cause I can not pick up any money
since they are not on my name.
RETURN POLICY:
As soon as the car arrives, you will test it and if it does not match 100%
to yourexpectations, you will return it in max. 10 days since the arrival
date. In this case you will cancel the transfer and you will send me the car
in
the same shape you've received it.You have to understand that
I am putting my whole trust in you also, and I will need your promise to be a
serious person. If interested and agree with my terms please advice asap
because
I have a lot of persons offering me a lot of money for the car but I
am a person of word and you were interested first.I hope you will consider
my offer.

Have a nice evening,
Michael.

Re: ***buyer Beware Nsx Scam***

HERE IS SOME MORE INFO I COLLECTED FROM THE FAQ SECTION OF WESTERNUNION.COM

6. Does Western Union offer an escrow service or any kind of buyer protection?

Western Union does not offer an escrow service or any type of "purchase protection" policy. Western Union's business is to transfer funds from a sender to a receiver. We caution people who use our services against sending money to people they don't know. It is the sender's responsibility to know the party to which the funds are being sent. Using a fictitious name or changing the Receiver name after the money transfer has been sent is not a guaranteed means of securing funds. If a receiver presents proper identification with the same name as on the money transfer, payment will be made.
Be wary of 3rd party "collection" or "holding" services unless they are a reputable, licensed escrow service. Western Union is not an escrow service, should not be used as an escrow service and is currently not affiliated with any escrow services.

1. What can I do to protect myself?

Make sure you know to whom you are sending money. Only transfer money to someone you know personally or whose identity you can verify!
If you are purchasing goods or services and paying through the Western Union network, it is your responsibility to verify the reputation and legitimacy of the seller. Western Union is not responsible for the non-receipt or quality of any goods or services.
Do not send money using a fictitious recipient’s name. This will not protect you when purchasing from someone you don’t know.
Remember that Western Union does not require a receiver to present a money transfer control number (MTCN) to pick up funds.
Discontinue a call if a caller instructs you on how to respond to questions asked by Western Union.
Discontinue a call if a caller suggests ways of delaying payment of a transaction until goods and services can be received. Remember, Western Union does not offer an escrow service.
In order to safeguard your transaction, never provide the details of a money transfer transaction to anyone other than the intended recipient.
Ask yourself:
- Who is this person?
- Does this money have to be sent immediately?
- Does this offer sound too good to be true?
Security is everyone's responsibility. Stay informed. Keep abreast of consumer fraud trends. A few excellent sources of information include your local newspaper and websites hosted by the United States' Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov) and the National Association of Attorney's General (www.naag.org).
Remember, if an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Re: ***buyer Beware Nsx Scam***

I played games with someone claiming the same type of arrangement a few months back. This went on for about 4 weeks. Finally he realized that I wasn't sending and $$ and quit emailing me.
Just for kicks, string him along.

Re: ***buyer Beware Nsx Scam***

Whenever a car is listed at less than HALF of it's market value, you know it's a scam. Run.

Re: ***buyer Beware Nsx Scam***

These type of scams always amuse me - I always wonder who actually responds to such ads - my dad always told me, if it seems, sounds, and looks too good to be true, IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

I'd do like the other poster suggested, string him along. Ask him for the VIN# of the car - so you can verify it's history, see what he tells you.
