Guys I have 2 JDM Bumper Poles from some old CB7 Accords sitting in my garage.

I was wondering it I could make one of them into a Antenna, as my current NSX Ant goes up like 5 Feet. the bumper pole is thicker and only goes up like 1 foot. and it has a glowing Honda Symbol might look cool. what do you think? or would it rice it out?

I am thinking that all I have to do is soilder the ant connector on the external part of the Ant. under the rubber. and it should work

as the internals of the ant its self is just plastic

what do you guys think?

Problem is, while it will give some sort of reception, it is not going to be great, the optimal length for an unamplified antenna is 31".

It is still a cool idea, I have a few of those too.

Or you could just use your stock antenna at half height...

well the bumper pole only
goes up like 8-9 inches.
and is so thick you cant bent it
if I fuse the Ant line to the
Mast of the pole. and used a FM Booster
it should work. like an OEM antenna.

But like Angus said

the Optimal height is a factor of 31"

I am going to try it this weekend.

you never know. I might have something here.lol

That does sound like an interesting idea. Look forward to hear and see results. I am in the middle of antenna mayhem and would consider going this direction. I am still a Cb7 owner, great little car..
