Broken rear view mirror mount

I have a Gentex Mirror with Homelink and the mount broke off taking parts of the windshield with it. Any ideas on how to fix other than a new windshield? I guess I could just glue the mounting button directly on the glass.

Update: I ended up gluing the entire piece that broke off using Permatex Windshield mount glue

Hopefully this holds up long term.
