Does someone make a replacement inside door handle? I looked for the part and it seems they only sell the whole assy. I broke the handle--not the thingies...........I saw a post with carbon fibre handle--is that just a covering or did someone manufacture a replacement handle from fibre?

My Bad. How did the handle break??? What were you trying to do in the car? No clue on that one, other than OEM New (around $400) or place a note in the Parts Wanted section. Good luck.

Yes, the handle broke right next to where the thingy attaches at the bottom. I tried epoxy--lasted about a month! Still seems crazy to be forced to spend $3-400 because of a broken plastic handle that should cost $25.

joey!!!
small world, i broke mine this week too... :[
fractured @ junction of door fixit & handle.
crazy geometry, & design happening here!!

glued & lapped epoxy, but prolly fail again.
i've got an in @ honda, & might be able to
get the pricey parts a bit lower.

atleast when you lower window to egress
it's subtropical, not the polar conditions
i'm in now.......

well, if you get a good deal, please let me know if I can get it too--what would be better is if Honda would sell just the opener handle...........
also, your comment about opening the window to get out--if you remove the grip assembly (8 screws) you can just pull on the cable and easily open the door! Anyone know how to weld plastic??

Mine broken again last night. I tried to access Science of Speed today but can't go through. Is it down again? And about pulling the cable to open the door, I would say I've tried it today but it is not easy unless you have the handle harness. Seems like I will stuck with this until the end of this month. ChrisSOS, are you there? Is it possible to get the door handle thingies by air?

Complete interior door handle assemblies are actually $303.00 + shipping. Both sides are the same $.

Just broke mine!
Whats the fix?

The fix depends on where the break is. On mine, the break was on the actual handle, not the "thingy" which is the 1" piece on the end of the handle held on with two tiny screws. If you were fortunate enough to have the break happen at the "thingy", they can be purchased at dali and several other places posted on this site in the past for maybe ~$35. I had to buy a new handle--~$300 on-line from Delray Acura or Sunnyside Acura. Seems to me, someone with a fine machine shop could make these from aluminum and sell them for $75 and make money!

Thanks Joe, my picture is attached and now that I have had a few hours to cool down and stop freakin out, it appears that mine is fixable with the Science of Speed part!
I have one on order and for now love turning off the car, then starting it again to roll down the window and open door and then up with the window, then off with the ignition.
Bet I break the window thingy next!!! Thats next weeks project!

Hey Trev,

I have a suggestion on how to get by until you fix it. Remove the plate with the handle and door lock switch, etc., (about 8 screws) and you will have the cable that the handle pulls on sitting there where you can pull on it to open the door--really easy to open. Beats going through the window..... Only downside is you now are missing the door lock/unlock button, but I hardly use it anyway.

The things we do waiting on thingys.....

Joe
