How many guys out there can say his wife bought him "Bridgit" for his birthday? As I and all the other "low cars" were always scraping coming into the driveway at the new house, my lovely bride felt our pain, and found a solution. This thing work perfectly! Its recycled tires compressed into a wedge shape that allows water to run underneath and gives that extra inch to make even the lowest cars roll in with ease. Run, do not walk to bridgit.com and snap up a set for yourself - or drop the birthday hint.

that is awesome. Too bad I can't leave it out in the open like that in NYC, somebody will just take it even thought they probably will have no need for it.

Well you could just bolt it right to the curbing. I've had street sweepers drive over it and it doesn't even move as it weights around 140#. If someone wanted to steal it they'd need a friend, and adding some long ass bolts would be just the ticket.

I researched having the curb cut and re-poured with a more gradual slope angle, and one the city gives an approval (not guaranteed) and you get the permit, demolition and cement work it was just at $2k. I'll take Bridjit, thanks.
