I will have to change my rear tires pretty soon. In the front I have Bridgestone Pole Position S03 in 215/40/ZR17. In the rear I'm currently running Marshall tires I picked up in France after having a blown tires on the highway there. Not my choice but at the time the only thing available.
Tire size in the rear will be 265/35ZR18.
Car will be used both on the street and a little on the track.
With the S03 in front, should I choose the S03 in the rear of go for the stickier S02.

S02/S03 combo:
- Difference in looks.
- S03 less grip, but more fun.
- S03 wears 'better'.
- Overall quality of tire is better.
- S03 is widely avaible. So if you damage one, you only have to buy one.

S02/S02 combo:
- Better looks
- (slightly) More grip.
- If you damage a S02 on the rear, beyond repair, you will be lucky if you can find a S02 in the same size to replace. Always keep that in mind.(are they still being produced?).

For the S02/S03:
Best tyre i had until now.
All us dutchy's are running those, and nothing else.

Hi Mich,
I can get the S02 from Excelsior for E275.00 installed and balanced. They have them in stock in the size I want.
They don't have the S03 in stock and the price for that one is E350.00.
I will probably want new rears for the trip to Sachsenring. Are you coming as well??

Get the S03 in the rear. It's usually a bad idea to get different tires on the rear from those in the front. It can make the handling quite unpredictable.
