Re: Purbread: Bret's Time Attack NSX

The car looks great!! It would look even better with ITB's, or a boosted engine, and no subs in the car.

Re: Purbread: Bret's Time Attack NSX

Looks nice...but how can you have a time attack car w/ just I/H/E upgrades? I was expecting a bit more on the engine side but maybe that's to come?

I'd rather have an all-out engine in a relatively sane looking stock bodied NSX (all bite little bark) than the reverse (which I guess I have).

I don't mean to be overly critical but I guess I was just expecting more. Have high hopes that the engine upgrades will come and that it'll be an accurate reflection of what the body kit promises.

Re: Purbread: Bret's Time Attack NSX

ya, he does have the supercharger on the way which is why he got that GT scoop. The car is far from done in the owner's perspective, it was just because certain opportunities arised that he decided to get the kit down first.

Re: Purbread: Bret's Time Attack NSX

Ive seen the car at local shows, (never at the track).
The car "looks like a time attack car, but its far from it.

I would love to see kt at one of the local events, its beautiful.

+1

Interior:
- huge tv in center console

It does look good btw.

I've never had the chance to check out B's NSX personally...hoping to do so in Mtl this year :D

FYI a big TV in centre console does not weigh that much. I have one and it doesn't affect my time at all

I love the way your car looks.

If I were to do another NSX it would be much like yours.

Great Job!

Re: Purbread: Bret's Time Attack NSX

Wow! Love this car! Looks amazing.

Jeez.. I didn't even notice the snorkel! Don't really love that or the yellow lights, but it is still awesome.

I'm sure you're right and I personally like the way the car looks but to me it is more of a show car than a race car. I could be wrong, it's just my opinion/impression.

...and shouldn't the website be called Pur BRED?

You can have a Time Attack car that's bone stock and you can have a ~bone stock racecar (showroom stock racing/spec miata/etc...).

There are many TA cars with light bolt-on mods including I/H/E, suspension, and big wheels and tires that do quite well in various classes, you don't just need big power.

Now to call a car a TA car that dosn't compete is a different story...

The car looks great, great body, nice wing/end plates, diffuser, etc but not so sure about 452's for "Time Attack" tires..

The double-din touch-screen TV is heavy but so are the stock seats, spare tire, side-inlets, stock rear bumper, etc... sure it's not a purpose-built car with the sole purpose of speed at all costs, but it's very well executed IMO.

BINGO!

I'd bet my left nut that this car NEVER even sees a track, HPDE or TA. All show and no go! It's got POSER written all over it....

Buddy, looks like you just lost your left nut hahahahaha
(who do you think you are! Do you know me? Have you seen my car in person? Stop talking shiet!

As a matter of fact, i do track it and have track it. 452's are my street tires in this photoshoot. i run hoosiers slicks with my SSR Comp H on track.

So what do you drive? let me see your car (post a pic), so i can talk shiet about it bro. lol

CL65 captain is actually a instructor in putnam park. If you ever go to the track section, you will see that he is one of the biggest contributors.

Here are a list of his videos.

Like I said, I never dogged on your car. In fact I like it a lot ( was able to use it as my wall paper ), is just that it seemed too clean and too perfect to be a car that gets raced regularly.

Well, for a guy who is an instructor, he should know better not to knock on people's shiet unless he knows otherwise, calling people posers!!
I'm on the other side of the border (canada) so if buddy wants to see me track my car, come and watch. all good.

Where's the emoticon for missing the point entirely? Is it the roll eyes smilie or just including a cool story bro meme in the post. Ah, nevermind.

Chill out.
2012 is coming soon.

That's what we were missing. Are you planning on sealing off the ITBs to the duct? I'd be really curious how much volumetric efficiency can be contributed by the shark fin. When we visited Mugen last year and saw a JGTC/Super GT C32 lying around, I noticed that the airbox leading to the shark fin was huge.

Looking forward to updates.
