Hello Everyone,

I tried the FAQ'a and searched forums and cant find any info about this... For the past 6 or so months my car (92 NSX Auto)has been leaking Brake Fluid from around the cap of the ABS reservoir.

I have had at the Acura dealer 4 times now and they have replaced all parts of the system (so they tell me) including the pump, accumulator, solonoids, and manifold. I'm not even sure what these are but the reservoir itself as well as most of the lines and the big aluminum block (technical term there ;)) that the reservoir is sitting on all look to be new.

Amazingly they have warranty replaced all of these parts for me only charging me labor for the first time it was there for the leak.

The car still leaks just as it always did from around that cap (new) and I just made an appointment to take it back for the 5th time. I thought I would check here to see if anyone might have some insite into this problem so that I can try to help point them in the right direction.

Any help is greatly appreciated... I am soooo tired of cleaning up the fluid off my garage floor. ;)

Hey guy's,

Thanks for the feedback but I'm sure thats not the problem.. I have no pump running and it does it even when the car hasnt been driven at random times. Not to mention that ALL the major parts of the system have been replaced including the solonoids.

I have also used DanO's post about excersizing the system every couple of weeks after the problem first started. Actually the first trip to the dealer thats exactly what they said was wrong and they completely cleaned and flushed the system as well as excersized each solonoid indivdually using a system similar to Dan's. :)

I was hoping that there may be another culprit that wasnt as obvious that they may have missed..

Since its on their dime now I guess I'll just keep letting them replace stuff till its fixed. They just ordered me four new complete calipers and lines to try that next. :D

We'll see what happens.

Thanks again...

Isn’t there a baffle in the bottom of the reservoir, is yours broken or missing?

If its broken or missing then it came from the dealer that way since its all been replaced already... They have replaced everything under the hood with no luck in stopping the leak from around the cap.. :(

It must be some sort of problem with pressure as some have already indicated but its been pretty darn hard to find so far.

Car is at Acura now getting the new Calipers and lines installed. They tell me that should correct my problem.

Grrrrr..

Well after ALL that has been done they FINALLY fixed it... It turned out to be a bad pressure switch, whatever that is...

I need a new NSX tech for my car... I have NO faith in this dealers service department anymore.
