question for ya.. what brake package should i get for my nsx that is the most cost effective and has the least amount of brake dust?? My NSX needs new rotors and pads..... i looked at the prices of stock pads and rotors and its almost a grand to replace all of them...... and its about half as much to replace them with say the Dali x-drilled rotors and pads... but the thing is that i dont want the increased brake dust from an aftermarket setup...

Can anyone help me out here?

If performance is not your consideration:

1. Axxis metal master pads. They dust very little, but they are worse than stock in braking power. around $60 per axle

2. Bradi rotors, u can get this at $53 a piece for the front rotors at Hilltop Auto Service

The end cost is less than $200 per axle.

Of course, I dont want to have less than stock performance...... b/c that's what it's at now since my brakes are so worn now.

So i'm looking for the happy medium between best performing and least dust with of course the lowest prices

Are you sure you need rotors too? Are they cracked, or shuddering, or did you measure their thickness? Otherwise, you may be able to keep them.

There are a lot of really crappy pads on the market, partly because the NSX takes pads the same size as Legend pads. Beware.

Unless you get really crappy pads, you're almost certainly going to be paying around $130-200 per axle for quality aftermarket pads, and around $200 per axle for rotors. (Even Dali Racing's pads, which have gotten mixed reviews, are $100.)

If you go with the OEM again, check prices at http://www.nsxpartsguy.com under "fast moving parts" (kind of funny for brake parts, huh?). You can get OEM pads for BOTH axles for $200 total which is a damn good deal.

Yes the rotors are ready to go... there is a noticable lip on the outer edge of the rotors in the back... and when hot, you can see the bluish discoloration... and high speed braking causes the vibration... so i think they're ready to be replaced. I think they're the original one's. so 10-11 years of good use... i think its about time.

Question still remains tho..... WHERE do I get a good deal on GOOD rotors that perform at least as well as stock one's for less than stock prices? And what pads do I use with them?

We've got stock pads for $200 for both axles from Tracy.

On the rotors, Andrie says Don sells the Bradi rotors for $53 each (Dali sells a set of 4 for $310); Dali and others sell 4 PowerSlot rotors for around $370; and Tracy (nsxpartsguy) probably has a good price on the stock ones, don't know how it would compare with these other two options.
