brain-cramped end user ? re xp opening jpg files

folks,

sorry to have such a pedantic issue, but my xp pro system has been trying to open attached/downloaded jpg files as pdf's... i don't recall changing a setting, but i suppose i may have. i use thunderbird (latest build) and have reviewed those settings as well.

i'd appreciate it if someone could suggest the fix to this, please. thx - it's driving me nuts.

In Windows Explorer
Right click any .jpg
from menu pick "Open with"
"Choose Program"
Pick Windows Picture and Fax Viewer

Click the little box that says "Always use the selected..."

OK

Tools->Folder Options-> File Types

You can set the default association with any file type. Personally I open pics in Internet Explorer.

thanks for the suggestions, guys - (naturally) they worked like a charm.
