Bounce, bounce, bounce: Springs and bushings

Hey everyone,
My 91 Cpe with 55k miles on it seems "bouncy" to me on rougher roads. I've replaced the shocks all around with Bilsteins on the lower perch when I got it a year or so ago. Is this a spring problem?

I'd rather not jar my teeth out with super stiff springs, just wondering what precipiated spring replacements...is this a symptom? I don't mind replacing them, just wondering how you know when they're due.

Also, I restored a Miata for my dad a couple years ago, and all of the performance books said to replace the rubber bushings in the suspension after about 10 years or 100k miles. Is that true for our cars as well?

Thanks!

I won't say in general, it depends on the car and the roads. The bushings on the NSX are of supremium quality and don't go bad after 10 years of normal driving. But driving her hard or on the track may weaken the bushings. But again, it depends on the situation.

Bounciness is not a first symtom for bad springs but much more for bad shocks. Maybe your roads are that rough that even a Bilstein can't cope with them in the long run. And 55k is quite low for a spring replacement. But again: it's a guessing game xxxx miles away. :)
