I have been without the NSX since May and having the boat was a nice distraction but now that the boating season is over I have found myself looking at bikes. I looked and sat on a bunch and started looking at biker forums to figure out which one to get. I hadn't ridden in over 20 years so I have missed alot of the technology improvements and was bewildered with the choices available. I pretty much knew that I wanted a sport bike instead of a cruiser so that narrowed things down a bit. After a lot of research between the different manufacturers I decided on a Suzuki GSX-R 750. I wanted a bigger machine than a 600 but was leary to go to a 1000 right away so I felt the 750 was a good comprimise. I then found an '08 model that was in great shape with low miles. I must say that it is a blast to ride and the accelleration is much like that of the NSX but without the limitation of 9000 rpm....
I was sure to properly outfit myself in the latest safety gear and have enrolled in a motorcycle safety class as a refresher. I already have a class M license since I kept it current over the years with the intent of getting another bike someday. I found a couple of local sport bike clubs to join and am now beginning to meet up for group rides. If anyone in the San Diego area wants to meet up for a ride sometime, let me know!
BTW, If you noticed the 350Z convertible in the garage, well that is my wife's new toy. It was part of the negotiating process. Now we both have something new and fun to drive. The best part is we can both can enjoy them together!
