Hey guys just picked up this 91 NSX for 15.5 , its a 5spd has a custom soundsystem ,suede stock seats, some ugly no brand wheels, and an aftermarket exhaust. I bought it damaged and it looks like it only needs a rear fender, Left tail light, wing, and possibly a hatch. I located a rear fender for under 1000, seems like its bolted on from the pics.. any one know how it comes off?

As long as the title is still clear... you should be good. As long as that's all that's wrong with it. Look around and you should be able to find these parts fairly cheap (under $500), you just might have to wait a little.

Look here... there's a RED rear quarter here for $650!

Good luck with it and hope you get it up and going soon!

Street Racing is DEAD. No need to worry about pulling up on anyone.

you need to get a service manual for it. so you can read up on all the body parts.

but there are 2 bolts that are hard to get to, well actually time consuming.

the exterior pillar there is a bolt right under it but covered, so you will need to go inside the car and pull off the leather pillar cover. there are 2 bolts that hold the exterior pillar on, its an 8MM deepsocket once those bolts are off go out side the car and pull hard it will make a clicking sound and pull off.

the second hardest bolt to get to on the quarter is right behind the air vent. you need to reach up above the vent thru the fender liners and turn this star looking nut. there are 2 one on top and one on bottom. then slide the vent housing out. and there is the bolt.
also kinda easy another on under the rocker panel.

then there is one connected to the rear bumper and the rest are visible

other than that there should be no questions on how to remove the quarter.

other than removing the rear bumper but thats easy.

good luck

That top star bolt that holds the vent is the biggest pain in the a** to unscrew and to screw back on. Those 2 8mm deep bolts can be easily removed by using a 8mm deep socket with a flat had screw driver at the end. You might not get to the bolt with the socket and wrench.

Doesn't look too bad, and it is totally repairable (cosmetics). Make sure you bring to the car to an NSX specialist to have the motor checked out for peace of mind. Good luck!

hey guys i found a fender for $350 shipped so if you can beat that let me know!

Thats a good price for a fender...

have you had it on an alignment bed yet?
Wondering how well your frame and rear driveline survived the mishap

+1

Congrats on getting your NSX. For your own safety, please make sure you get the frame checked out. The NSX frame is not very tolerant of impacts and a compromised frame can have deadly consequences should you ever get hit. It's worth a few hundred bucks for peace of mind. Members here can refer you to a shop that knows what to look for.

Okay, maybe I'm crazy for thinking this, but it looks to me like it might also need a rear bumper...

Nah, I think that will buff out...
