Has anyone else had issues with the bottom Type-R chassis bar having the holes about 1/4'' off? AKA, the holes need to 1/4'' further apart.
I think I can probably bore the holes out enough to make it work, but just wondering if I'm alone on this or not.

They were spot on for me.

no should line right up maybe you have it on the wrong bolts

Thats what I was thinking too. I doublechecked, and the bolts I connected it to are the only ones it's even close to fitting on. And they're the same in the directions(furthest bolt from the swaybar).

I had to bore the hole on the chassis bar out a good 1/4'', but after that it went right on. It is rubbing a line which I'm going to make a seperate post about. Not sure if that going to cause me any issues or not.

Holes lined up perfectly for me.

just installed mine last weekend and the holes lined up perfectly as mentioned above. Unless the hole on your chassis bar was predrilled incorrectly. Should not be rubbing against anything.

Mine did not line up either, looks like I need to shaved one end of the bar shorter or removed one of the toe tie down hook as the bar is hitting the bracket.

You're not alone. I have read other threads in the past that mentioned this same mis-alignment.

You are talking about the front bar, not the bottom bar. The front one needs major grinding if you want to retain the tow-hooks. The bottom one should line up. I thought SOS is selling a modified front bar to accomodate the issue so you don't have to grind the holes out.

For me the lower chassis bar align up perfect, easy installation.

For the upper chassis bar I remove my tie down on both sides to get mine to fit.

Helped Bryan (IO1010I) install SOS type R upper chassis bar , works great with the tie downs.

Chris thanks for the input. Yes, I was referring to the front bar. Probably going to shave the bar though.

Are you sure you don't have it installed upside down? I think the bar should be running below the sway bar....

Yeah, its correct in that respect. If it was upside down, it would hit the radiator hose.

jond,

Mine looks like your picture...just about touching that line(A/C?). I am pretty sure all was installed correct as I had not issues and all the bolts lined up.
