Bose amp rebuild kit?

Not a bad idea, I have sucessfully rebuilt all 3 of my amps after they failed. I have a good idea what parts need to be replaced. What would you be willing to pay for a kit of caps? Finding the proper value is not hard, getting the phyisical size right is.

Not knowing what would be included, maybe 10-15 bucks?

BTW I once ordered from these folks, I needed an obscure cap to fix an Infinity sub and it was the only place that had it. They shipped me a single $0.25 cap from Thailand to NY!

I ordered all the caps I used from http://www.digikey.com/. When I get home from work I will post a list of the values you will need for the door and sub amps. I bought the better 105 C ones, they should hold up much better then the 85C originals. As I mentioned before getting replacments that fit is the chalange. I had to get creative in positioning on some them so they would fit under the sheet metal cover. Also if you are a member of NSXCA there is a write up on repairing the Bose amps in NSXdriver news letter one issue back from the one that just came out.

Note: When buying replacments you need to get the same MF value and the same or higher voltage value but be warned at the voltage value goes the phyisical size gets larger and may not fit in the location on the circuit board or under the cover of the amp.
The 820MF caps 16 volt caps I used would not fit under the sheet metal cover so I had to drill clearance holes. I recomemend getting the 105C rated ones over the 85C.
