Can not speak about the first book.

Second is incredible. Lots of neat photos and information

Third is the book that was given to original owners in 1991. Book cover is made of metal, and lots of great info and photos as well.

They are a must own for owners.

The ultimate portfolio is actually the second book in the series with a bunch of articles from various magazines thru 2005. The 1989-99 performance portfolio is the first in the series and is all in black & white. Only has articles on the pop-up models thru 1999. The Brian Long book is very informative with lots of history & photos. All are worth collecting if you can find them.

The Brian Long book was (fairly) recently updated (2017) to include the new NSX (NC1) - I contacted the publisher and they told me that the updates were minor - the focus is still the NA1 & NA2, with just a few pages added for the new NSX.

Long's book has been reissued and can be found on Amazon relatively cheap. Comparing to what's on used market. Just FYI. Third, coffee table book is good read but a bit sparse.
