(I already have my flame suit on)...let's proceed.

I had a pride V2 at one point and it droned my brains out, so now I am back to stock. I actually really enjoy the stock exhaust, but I do not particularly care for the battlestar galactica style 91-94 exhaust tips. Has anyone out there replaced their bolt on exhaust tips and what measurements should I look for? Any pics? I like the look of 97+ stock tips, pride, or comptech exhaust tips.

Thanks for your help!

you may be better off looking for a used 94 and up exhaust...the 94-96 years were the na1 matched to your stock manifolds.

No need to put your flamesuit on - exhaust sound is very subjective. For the record, I have Pride V2 and love it. I believe the outer diameter of the stock exhaust is 1 7/8" just before the "battlestar galactica" tips. Usually a decent muffler shop can do this for you relatively cheap.

There was a thread on here a while back where some guy was selling all sorts of exhaust tips if you can search for that it might give you some options

Possibly the newer Accord tips may bolt on.

I am glad you asked...... I alos had Pride V1 didnt like the drone while at idle so I switched back to stock,
but I went to the autoparts store and got the biggest tips they had and they are made by DC Sport so atleast its a known brand LOL
take your tips off and bolt them up to it now... the stock diameter is smaller than the inserts that come with the big tips so your gonna need to buy something
that widens your tips, they sell expanders near the tips at the store.
no one can tell they are tips but lucky me...... I did some bartering and got a stock 05 muffler with 2600 miles
so when I get some headers I will be finally putting the OEM stock muffler with the bigger tips on.

now one more thing the aftermarket tips are nice and chromey for a month they turn brown so your gonna keep buying more at 60 bucks for 2 it will be a waste after a year so look for a nice muffler

goodluck

In 1997 I replaced my stock tips with a pair made by Cone Engineering... they are still on (see avatar)... made of stainless steel and look great - $65.

I had a Cantrell(SoS) exhaust and thought it sounded lovely.
My partner however suggested if I wanted her presence in the NSX, the stock exhaust was fine with her.
So stock went back on, Galactica tips and all.
Now as my car ages, and although I'm the only one in all the land, I now I like the oval tips.

Tips

About to have a set of Comp-Tech, round exhaust muffler tips with possibly 4 in. of s/s pipe from factory as I finally found some tips that should be perfect.
Will seperating the Comp-Tech tips soon.

Cheers

Why must they bolt on? Any reputable muffler shop can mig them on at a relatively low cost. It's not a big job. This way your not limited to just "bolt on" tips.
