BMW Dealer and a 4th Supercharger?

Well... as an extension of our last conversation about BMW drivers... here's my latest encounter with that snobbish bunch. I went to the Santa Monica BMW dealer this past weekend with my friend because he was looking to test drive a new 330 Ci. Well, I let him drive the NSX there and right in front of the dealership, he almosts gets my car rear-ended while doing a U-turn. Anyway, a whole bunch of salesmen were standing outside the dealership and one of the women was like "nice driving!" I was a lil perturbed at her attitude. So my friend got out and I had to leave so I went to get back in my car. Well one of the salesmen shouted "wanna trade that in?" to which I responded "not a chance!!!" ;P He was like 'M5... M5'.

At this point I was getting annoyed. So at the intersection where the dealership was located and I was making a left, I took the TCS off, romped on it, tore up some asphalt, screeched like a banshee, and took off drifting the back end through the entire turn and down the street. Point made. =P And no... there were no other cars anywhere near me on the street so spare me the flames.

God, I hate BMW dealers.

Anyway, on to my second topic. =P

I was digging through the forums the other night doing some research on the
various kits that are available for the NSX. It looks like the BBSC is
almost done, there's the Comptech of course, and the Gruppe M as well. A lot of discussion has been going on about these 3. But has anyone heard anything about the Vortech SC that was mentioned in this thread? http://www.nsxprime.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002670-2.html
I've heard this system mentioned for applications on several other different types of cars. Is this the same
supercharger that P.D. Cunningham uses? It seems like the ability to set this up in stages would be really cool.

Otherwise I think I'm going to go the NOS route. But right about now, I need more power. Next mod on my car...

Agree about the typically bad BMW dealers sales depts. - the mechs on the other hand have been usually pretty good in my experience.

Regarding the Vortech, I've got a bunch of relevant non-NSX experience. It's a centrifugal SC like the BBSC unit, which makes it similarly efficient with most of the improvement is at the high end. With a good air-to-water aftercooler, charge density (due to cooling) is improved with minimal pressure drop which provides a net gain in HP and which allows you to bump the boost somewhat for even more gains. Also, a good aftercooler really mitigates heat soak. Since the BBSC has similar properties and appears to be well on the way to mass availability, can't see why one would wait for a Vortech setup. In a car with good intrinsic low/mid grunt, I prefer the centrifugal but for a car with so-so intrinsic low/mid, I prefer the positive displacement blowers. Note biases below, however!

95 Dinan M3 S3 (300+ RWHP, aftercooled vortech!)
95 BMW M3 (Bone Stock)

The reason I ask is because the Comptech and Gruppe M superchargers have been around for quite some time now. They were pretty much the status quo. Now we've got the BBSC coming out and Larry has his single turbo setup as well. While this is a major improvement in number of options for our aftermarket market, we still fall far behind compared to other tunable cars. That means there has to be more options available and plausible out there. The Vortech seems like it might be a viable one. And if it's already being used on a race NSX, how come it isn't being offered by somebody? (Note: I'm not sure if it is on Cunningham's or not)
