Folks,

FYI, I recieved this invitation from Joe for NSX owners:

Larry,

Nice to meet you at the Watkins Glen Trackmasters event. As I mentioned, we would like to invite your group to join us for our Saturday and Sunday Driving School. The details are provided at the link below. We will afford your club the same rates that we have for our own members. You can book hotel rooms directly with the resort using our group code.

To make your registration process easier and because you do not have the BMW Club membership numbers, please have interested folks contact our registrar Denis Friedman directly via email at [email protected] or via his cell phone at 978-502-7542 or home phone 978-263-0721. Denis will be happy to expedite the registration process. There is a very nice dinner on Saturday night at the top of the mountain for only $15 extra (for participants and $40 for guests)… it is a terrific venue and a highlight of the weekend.

We only have spots for 15 or 20 cars and rooms in our block are going very quickly so if people are interested, they should sign on quickly.

Thanks and please do not hesitate to contact either Denis or myself with any questions.

This is at Tremblant, which has to be one of the finest on and off-track experiences you can have.

I highly recommend anyone who can attend do whatever they can to get to this.

I just attended the Genessee Valley BMW days, and they're extrememly well done. I suspect this will be similar.

I went to the BMW Trillium chapter event at Tremblant a few weeks ago. Needless to say the track is outstanding. A fantastic momentum track. I was lapping most of the cars in my run group. Our cars are very well suited for it.

The organizers need a little more experience running an event there but it was very good otherwise. The only think you should know is that, anyone, driving anything can attend these events. There were miatas, Protoges, rental cars, station wagons etc which can really slow down experienced drivers. I would ask about this before registering if you are experienced. Maybe this chapter is different.

Mt. Tremblant is absolutely stunning! If you can go you should. Period.

Ive heard it described many times as the most spectacular track in North America. Not saying it is the best track, but when you look at the track itself, its condition, and the setting it is within, you cannot beat Tremblant.

Plus, the wives and family will have a terrific time a few kms away in the village. The whole thing is amazing.

I have to agree. You're driving in the mountains next to a lake. A fantastic venue. The track feels like you're driving to a destination. The elevation changes combined with the high speed corners and longish straights make it what it is. Apparently the Schumacher brothers visit the owner once and a while and Michael has described it as a mini-nurnburgring.

I called my wife half way through the second day (she was shopping and doing the spa thing in the village) and she felt bad, because she was having such a good time and I was stuck at a dirty track.

All I could think was .... Perfect.
