I noticed this blue stain that looks like sprayed washer fluid a while ago and cleaned it up with some all purpose cleaner. But just opened the hood again and notice there is another stain - looks like sporadic spraying of the blue fluid against the underside of the hood.

Any idea why it is spraying? The washer cap is on tight. Is there a quick fix besides cleaning the underside of my hood every few weeks.

There is a vent hole the size of a pin...the spray is forced up through that I believe. The same thing happens with my car and it drives me NUTS!!

Any idea of a fix? I'm afraid to cover the pinhole.... it might come shooting out somewhere else like a leak in hoover damn (Vegas Vacation)

I think in your case, it may be the washer fluid. I found this a couple of time under my hood, and on the horizontal surface of my lower bumper. It was driving me nuts, until I figured out that it only happens when I filled my washer fluid completely full. The fluid would either sprayed (from expansion) onto the underside of the hood or leak onto the lower bumper. The washer fluid resevoir is next to the radiator. When washer fluid level goes down from usage, the blue spots would stop. I now only fill my washer about 75% full (leaving room for the fluid to expand/no spray), and have not seen the blue spot under the hood or on the lower bumper. Try using your washer to drain some washer fluid down to about 75% full. It may take care of your blue spots under the hood. It worked for me.
