Blown horn/brake light fuse

I have a recurring problem since installing a momo steering wheel and horn button in my '92. The 20 amp fuse which governs the horn and brake lights keeps blowing out. It's not immediate--everything works fine for a few days or weeks and then blows again. Any ideas about what could be causing this and/or how to correct it ???

Regading the wiring of the horn button, I followed some of the general directions posted on Prime and everything seemed to work fine.

I'd bet it has to do with a dead short that occurs when you turn your steering wheel just right. Look in there at the wiring and see what happens when you turn the wheel.

Thanks , Joe. I just rewired the horn , being real sure to insulate all of the connections--we'll see. Interestingly, another fuse blew as I was removing the horn.

Do you think that a fuse would blow if there was just a loose connection in the horn wiring somewhere which wasn't shorting to ground ?

If a fuse bows it means the current exceeded the design limit of the circuit, right? That's a short.
Something is shorting to ground and right where your looking.
A spring, tab, pinched wire or someting touching the power wire and grounding it when the wheel is turned just so.
