it's in Quebec. There may be a bunch of tax added to that sale. I am not sure if it 's bought from out of Province, if the tax has to be paid.
Can someone comment... If that was for sale in Alberta by a private seller, total tax owing would be $0.00.

How about this '95... looks clean would have to be checked out though... asking $25.9k

" 1995 nsx with targa top and 5 speed manual transmission. 106000 original kms with no accidents or mechanical issues. this car was owned by my father (a local physican) and driven only in the summer months. everything is original on this car with no mods whatsoever. the only known issue is a finicky power seat switch that can easily be changed and a very slow leak on the front drivers tire. the car has been meticulously maintained and all records and original window sticker are being sold with the car. we are asking 25900 obo. car is located near courtice ontario. "

first thing that peaked my curiosity was if it was cdn/usa spec.

i inquired about this car; no response yet.

will update you guys if i do get a response.

I'm attempting to contact the seller for both of these cars as well; was never given a response unfortunately. I like them both very much, although my preference is firstly for Formula Red. (Although, we can't be too picky!)

I have been searching for a Canadian car in good shape for a decent price for a couple of years now with my father.(In the ~ 25,000 range) It seems so hard to find a car that has been maintained by an enthusiast! Most of the cars in the country are either way out of my range or junkers with looming problems....

Have been seriously thinking about importing, however, once again the added complication RE: viewing and adapting to Canadian standard...

shouldn't be too tough other then DRL. HST/GST we have to pay no matter what and its pretty much 6-7% duty to import from the states.

since avg the price diff between us/cdn from what ive seen is much much higher then 6-7% (even after travel/dollar differences) importing makes the most sense to me.

there is an amazing FAQ on prime re importing nsx's from the states; the costs and what (minor) things are needed to be done to the car for it to meet cdn regulations.

Thanks you for the insights. Im aware of the needs RE: importing. It is more so a matter of logistics for my father and I. (Perhaps also, being quite picky).

I'm not opposed to an American car, however, most of the ones I've come close to purchasing on our behalf have had too many last minute headaches or shady owners... After going through the process in attempt to purchase 3 separate US NSX's, I've been really disappointed with the results.

That being said, I'll always go to the US when I'm looking to add to my collection in terms of a vintage vehicle. Have had a great success importing with other vehicles; not so with the NSX.

Your budget is too low for the car you seem to be looking for.
You won't ever buy an NSX if you stay $10k below what it's worth unless you're fooled into buying a junker.

Lots of great NSXs have been bought and sold in Canada during the last few years.

ill have to agree. in canada in the past 9 months anything 25k ish has been some sort of scam; or the seller simply never responds...

thats just what ive seen from the trader/kijiji/Craigslist across canada.

I have to respectfully disagree in terms of a car being undervalued by $10,000. I know several owners that have purchased high quality cars in the mid 20's and early 30's; more so a manner of biding my time which I have no problem doing.

In any case, the price discrepancy between American and Canadian cars is in no way indicative of value. From the cars I've viewed, a ~$25,000 US car has been nearly identical to a maybe ~$32,000 Canadian car. My issue is simply accessibility. If this were true, I would be down in the US right now loading a truck up with NSX's. While I am one of the biggest fans of the car, its more so a simply economic supply/ demand issue in Canada and at the end of the day, just another used car and in the eyes of many. As more cars are imported and the marketplace is flooded, you can't expect your NA1 to be a $35,000 car unless it is exceptional.

Just my 2 cents worth, but perhaps an equal passion for economics and business has clouded my enthusiasm.

Your budget is $25K...good luck finding one in Canada.....you will be picking up something in the US with issues at that price.

As Sean said...the cheapest NSX is the most expensive NSX you can buy.....this is so true, and No it's Not another used car.

You will never buy an NSX if you're using logic.

NSX prices will never make sense.

There are so few cars available that guys looking to buy at anything less than market are never going to be the highest bidder.

in many respects i agree and understand with what stryker63 is saying. he is keeping his emotions out of the loop and thus sees it as a rare used car; a used car where there is a very VERY small/niche market for.

i would have to respectfully disagree with brams comment; as blueBatmobile himself stated he lucked out with his low LOW mile beautiful blue targa for 25k. i dont think that all 25k usd nsx's are all nsxs with major issues; and even if they have some minor issues; i would say alot of normal issues would be.... normal. the cars are mostly 2 decades old after all. most nsx's out there are simply the older ones as sales dropped more and more over time.

my humble 2 cents.

Haha. Stirring up emotions. I love it! Sure, the NSX is a wonderful car, but at the end of the day, its a car... Subject to the same economic reason as any so called durable good. It gets old. It's out of vogue. It's used up. The price adjusts to reflect the value in the marketplace. I can understand how an owner would be vested in maintaining their investment. I'm the same way with my other vehicles.

I know deals are out there! Like anything in life, the best things come to those who wait. I'm 100% content doing so and I guarantee you I will find a respectable NSX in my range, whether it will be a Canadian or the US vehicle.
