Black/Ivory NSX, being sold too good to be true?

I have seen the second one in person.

They have had that car either before, or for a long time.

From what I recall it looks like it has had some sort of front end damage, and whoever replaced the windshield didn't do a very good job. The interior was pretty nice though, and the wheels look good on it, I would say the body and external integrity is questionable though.

I have a question about the color ivory in the nsx. To me the ivory color in the nsx looks white though the pictures which is what i would like. But then sometimes it looks like white with a hint of tan into it. I would like to know is it close to a pure white color or more like a basches (not sure how to spell) color. I hope it looks more like a pure white color or like bone white.

I never knew that the nsx had a sunroof i thought the top was a complete top.

You're right, that is certainly an aftermarket top.

I was looking at a '91 Targa conversion some months ago and was informed in no uncertain terms by this group that in terms of compromising the structure of the car, a Targa conversion is a Very Bad Thing. As for an aftermarket sunroof, I'm sure its not as major as a T conversion but maybe someone could weigh in on whether or not this involves some structural compromise?

I have talked with the seller for the second one and I believe this was the one that was being sold on consignment for the lady that owned it. The dealer said that her reserve was set too high at $39K.

Yeah, it was part of the reason I bought the car. The install is very clean, but the headroom is a little less I think.

While I haven't tracked the car yet, I am sure it isn't as rigid as a coupe any more - it does have some creaking when I go out exits on a diagonal, for example.

I'm still waiting for the glass T-Top as the best compromise :-)

The first one has less than 6K miles? I never wanted an older NSX but these two with the Ivory interiors.... getting weak here. The second says tan but I'm sure it's ivory

I looked at and drove the second one at NW Investment Cars with a salesman named Ken about a month ago. It is in pretty rough looking shape. I don't know if the windshield was replaced or if there is just major weather stripping shrikage. The front-end is damaged. I don't believe it is structural. It looks like the guy bottomed it out a couple times pretty hard and cracked the molding all up. Interior overall is fair at best. Paint is not great...all matches as far as my eyes can see...but not nice and glossy. Apparently it was owned buy some guy out in the "sticks" of Oregon. It is at NWICars on consignment. No maintainance records..I wasn't interested enough to ask for the carfax. Prior to the test-drive, come to find out the battery needs a jump...the onsite NSX "specialist" couldn't find the battery. I had to show him. Wheels are really nice. As far as it's drivability..it seems to run well. There is an Acura dealership literally a block away if you would like to have it checked. If you are interested in this car and would like me to look at it again for more details...I'd be happy to. My personal opinion however, is; As long as the CarFax is clean...this car should be worth $30k max. And you can probably get it for that. These guys have had this car for a while now.

Regards

I guess neither one of you knew enough to jump the car using the terminal in the fuse box in the engine compartment, huh?
