Humm... not sure if the part # matches up to mine, but I have the bilstein shocks on my old '91 but my setup but with Eibach springs with an adjustable coilover setup that will eventually wind up on my '00. The perch simply is moved an inch lower from the OEM setting right on the strut itself, I do believe this same strut was avail with more possible lowering groves cut into the body... Found this searching around the fourms....
They aren't truly "adjustable". They are "selectable".
The standard Bils shock for the NSX comes in two ride heights (1) Stock and (2) 7/8" lowered. When installing the shock you decide which ride height you want and sit the spring perch on the appropriate one. There is a groove in the shock that accepts a ring, on which the perch sits.
You can also custom order additional ride height grooves from the manufacturer. The only way to change the height once installed is to remove the shock and spring and move the perch and ring to a different groove.
a pipe cutter is going to crimp the inside of the shock body, destroying it.
you need someone with a lathe to cut the grooves,I have had it done many times

Yes, I never took that reply seriously, I have access to machining, I just wondered if there was sufficient material to cut additional grooves, thanks for the feed back.
