Bilstein install question... need re-assurance...

So this past weekend I started installing the Bilsteins on my NSX. I have no instructions for them, as a friend of mine had opened all of them and taken out everything for inspection but but threw away the instructions since he said they looked generic and non-specific to the NSX.

Anyway, I get the front passenger side installed, I mount the spring perch correctly as shown on Dali's page, reuse the top hats from the original assembly, including a small washer and the original top mount washer, then I use the new threaded nut included in the Bilstein packaging. Everything looked good. I then do the same to the driver's side. I thought it was smooth sailing. I lower the car off the jacks, car doens't really look lowered on the passenger side and notice that the driver's side has something wrong- the threaded portion of the valve extends 3" or so higher than the passenger side- it's high enough that if I attempted to close the hood it would clearly hit or puncture. Not to mention the top mount bolt on that side is in the middle of the thread, just kinda chillin there doing nothing. Something's wrong, haha.

Is there a diagram of what parts I should be re-using from the original strut assmebly(like washers) and how much to torque them to? Also, when tightening the top center nut should that be done when the car is on the ground and the suspension is loaded?

Thanks to everyone that can help!

Just wondering...did you put the correct shocks up front ??..They rear shocks are defintely different from the fronts..

Also, it takes ALL the shocks installed to be able to tell the difference in height..

Is your bump stop on? sounds like it is not. Make sure you have the correct shocks in place, i.e. fronts on the front, rears on the rear.

I only have the German version of the Bilstein instructions but this may help you out. See NSX manual for needed screw torque. Did you install the lower spring plate correctly? Perch on the Bilsteins must be all equal from left to right side.

Also, do not forget to set the spring IN THE GROOVE on the top plate and bottom plate..they MUST line up or it can cause some issues.
