I have been waiting to see our NSX friend Billy Johnson do some highly competitive racing. For people who can come to Salt Lake City, that day is here.

Friday Sept. 14 at 3:00 pm! Time is short

The race will be the Grand Am/Koni Challenge.

Billy will be driving the Kendai Racing #76 Acura TSX that sits 2nd in the championship, with only two more races. On a web search, try for Koni Challenge Race.

Some of our Las Vegas NSX Club members will be driving up to support (eating, drinking, talking, and cheering) Billy. We will be able to talk with him as well. Are there others out there who would like to hook up with us?

Billy,

I would like to thank you for the good time I had at the track. It was nice meeting your race team. I am sorry about your car problems but glad that the BMW you are battling, for first place, had problems. It looks like you are only 5 points way from first place?

I would love to be at the Virgina Raceway on Oct. 6-7 to watch the final five hour race, for first place in the KONI Challenge.

Hey Billy,

I got a chance to see the replay on speed last night. Since it is the end of the season, some questions if you don't mind sharing.

- How much does the average team budget to field a ST car in Koni Challenge for truck, travel, food, fees, maintain-ables? What's low, what's high?

- Assuming you are managing the vehicle construction (and if there such a thing) how much does a competitive build typically cost? Is a TSX in ST class significantly more expensive to field than a Cobalt or Mustang? What spares are necessary?

- How are seat costs typically divided up? What worked for you and Karl? Do any of the teams take advantage of contingency sponsorship opportunities, and if so how far does that go?

- I noted a large number of teams are selling off their 07' cars, is that normal at the end of a season?

- Do you make every event? Particularly ones as far away as VIR?

- Any other lessons you've learned from this series you care to share? How did it compare to other experiences you've had?
