Once more I had a good time watching you and your team race. The brake problem that put you from secound place to back six laps back was a disapointment, but that is just part of a six-hour race. Both my car and I feel somewhat tired after just half an hour of track time.

One of the interesting things to watch is the consistency of your timing on a four-mile track, within a second each time.

What place did you finish in the overall series? Lance

Lance,

Thank you for flying from Las Vegas to Virginia to watch me race! That is an amazing story in itself... That really meant a lot to me and I really appreciate you being there and supporting my season-ending race!!!

Yes unfortunately running out of brake pad resulting in an exploded caliper was very unfortunate, but those things happen in racing, especially in endurance racing. We were able to put new pads and calipers on and got back out on the track, unfortuantely 6 laps down. We were able to go from 24th to finish 12th in the last 2 hours of the race (during my night stint) turning some of the fastest laps at night. At that level of racing even 1 second makes a HUGE difference. During qualifying it would have been the difference between 1st and 15th. At night, I was able to keep them within 1/2 a second of eachother

Fortunately we were able to hold onto 2nd in the championship with 4 wins this season (twice as many as anyone during the season).

Thank you again Lance for coming out, that was again truly amazing. For that, we have to head out to the track sometime soon to have some fun and work on your craft... Maybe in your new track-car

Billy
