Anyone using big brake setups on 94 and after wheels, which did you go with, why did you choose that kit, and what are your experiences?
Thanks in advance,Greg

ps. if someone can remove the original posting (in used parts forum) of this I would appreciate it since I have been unsuccessful in editing it.

Hi Greg -- Here's an option:

I have movit brakes under the 16" stock front wheels with 22 mm spacers - I guess they are available in U.S. at ultimategarage (check here)

Under the stock 17" I have custom adapted brakes from the GT 2 race version of a well known german sportscar of which I'm not allowed to write the name. You may have an idea if you look at the emergency telephone call no. in the U.S.

This picture may help you. Rims are with brembros. They are not mine and i found the pic a long time ago either on ebay or here (cant remember). I was thinking too (and still am) doing a big brake/stock wheels combo. Good luck.

The above settup is probably from comptech, what they call the 12.4 kit.I have this as well.Esentialy it is the brembo indy calliper with a proprietary mounting bracket matched to a brembo 12.4 in. rotor rather than the 13 in. that goes with thier full kit.The rear calliper is stock and is replaced by a stock sized cross drilled rotor.IMO the ballance or bias of this combo is very good, and there are a fair number of pad options.

Thanks for clearing that up. Looks like a tight fit with even the smaller 12.4 but thats most likely the case with all setups, if you want to stay with the stock wheels.
