I have the 615 on the FD and love them, but for the dry.

I'm debating on not driving the NSX in the rain, hence 615, or consider the Kumho or KDW2, which seem to have had some great ratings.

BTW, if I want to run 235/40/17 in the front what ranges can I run in the rear for 18"?

Wheels will be RP03

It all depends on what you're looking for.

Dry traction:
1. RT-615
2. KDW2
3. SPT

Wet traction:
1. SPT
2. KDW2
3. RT-615

Treadlife:
1. SPT
2. KDW2
3. RT-615

Purchase price (1 is lowest price):
1. SPT
2. RT-615
3. KDW2

Personally, I think the KDW2 is not worth the high price; if you want a tire that does well in both wet and dry, the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 performs better in every way, for about the same money. The SPT is a "bang for the buck" value tire, a good choice if you are willing to sacrifice performance for a lower price and longer treadlife. The RT-615 is a good choice if you care only about getting the maximum traction on dry pavement.

Not on your list, but best wet tire bar none - Goodyear F1-GS3. It also great in the dry, maybe one half step down from the 615s. I have tracked the Goodyears in pouring rain and they were awesome.

Interesting interview/info on tires. Ferrari are using Bridgestone for racing. I am buying Bridgestone's in due time.

Gary Anderson replied:
“Let’s take the three teams for example, Ferrari, Renault and McLaren. Ferrari’s advantage was that they used Bridgestone tires for quite a few years. They were Bridgestone’s team. They had tested and tested and tested combinations that no other team in the world would have done because of their Fiorano test track. Renault and McLaren were coming in from these Michelin tires. So the biggest characteristic difference required on the car was how do you use the tire well. So to me it’s not a case of a document or any information coming from Ferrari about a car design. It’s about the specification of the car. More the weight distribution of the car - to use the tires - the suspension geometries, the damping characteristics that the tire works well with, and probably some aerodynamic data - aero map - but not actually physical componentry as opposed to a specification. That is the biggest asset.

You can, but I wouldn't. 235/40-17 fronts will rub on turns. I would stick with 265/35-18 and 215/40-17.

Will it rub on the inside or outside lip?

Is there any offsets in the front wheel that will allow 235 in the fronts?

I also don't want the TCS or ABS freaking out from too much of a deviation.

I have the KDW's HANDS DOWN!!! i love the tire actually use it rides great-

at 3000 miles i now HEAR them a bit more- maybe im being picky maybe i jst noticed it but its not bad at all-- I can push the car HARD around corners and not think twice

2000 with bolt ons and Tien suspension FYI

how are they on the limits?

Predictable handling or grab and snap loose?
