Best Steering Wheel for an Imola?

Here is an option:

This is a SPECIAL EDITION wheel distributed by Works Bell Japan in a collaboration project with the drivers of Team Orange, top in the D1GP series.

I think I would prefer something smaller, maybe a 330mm.

Call me crazy, but I kinda like having an airbag:biggrin: If I was going to change the wheel, I'd probably just opt for an NSX-R wheel:wink:

I like the 2nd one.

What are the benefits of a smaller steering wheel? Would it make driving a car without power steering easier at low speeds?

As far as benefits, if gives you much more control then the bulky OEM wheel. On a previous car with power steering, it definitely made the driving experience easier and more enjoyable. I would assume the size and reduced weight would definitely benefit a car without power steering. Get a Personal or Nardi wheel with red stitching!

I've owned both a NRG adapter and Momo 330mm wheel and although the wheel is great and feels good I'd much rather have the airbag there. Plus when you run the aftermarket wheel your airbag light on the dash will stay on!!! Annoying...:frown:

You can solve that buy putting a jumper wire in the harness.

What happens if you have an accident? Your loved ones need you around....
Or the slick willie lawyer that found out because you removed the airbag, you or the driver of your cars injuries were more than if you had an airbag

FWIW, when you remove the steering wheel airbag, the pass. bag is still operational.

Quick question, if you use an aftermarket steering wheel will the sensors still work and think there is still an airbag hooked up or will they be disabled completely? I'm talking about on a 91 that doesn't have the passenger airbag?

You're basically tricking the system to not display the light.

After all these years, I don't think I've ever paid much attention to the stock steering wheel. Now that you mention it though, it does look pretty dull and outdated.
