I've been looking for NA2 Calipers to put on my 93 NSX and I have been rather unlucky. There was a guy selling them and I got eSniped at the last second and lost the auction.

For those who have done the conversion where did you find yours and how much did you pay? Thanks.

Acura Dealer?

Obviously but I meant used, of course.

lol, you just have keep your eyes open on ebay and Prime FS section. Most people are not willing part their calipers even after BBK upgrade.

I bought my NA2-R calipers off vtecdirect.com, used on my DC2 :)

Not sure how much shipping will be but mine came from JP anyway so ..

There's no such thing as "NA2 calipers".

NA2 is an engine code and refers to the 3.2-liter engine that was included in all manual-transmission NSXs in the 1997-2005 model years. The NA1 engine code refers to the 3.0-liter engine that was included in all manual-transmission NSXs in the 1991-1996 model years, and in all automatic transmission NSXs in all model years, 1991-2005.

There are two versions of the NSX brake calipers. One version was in all 1991-1996 NSXs, which all had NA1 engines. The other version was in all 1997-2005 NSXs, including those with NA1 engines and those with NA2 engines.

Ah much apologies master. Thank you for correcting me but I see people knew what I meant.

We mere mortals who came from the lesser S2000 have a habit of calling the car by the AP1 or AP2.

To everyone else thanks for the information.

Not bad, $610. If you're patient you can find this or that caliper set for the front, for the rear ones you need even more patience.
Whats funny is I'll swear on my mama that he was only asking $300.00 for everything in classifieds a week or so ago!:frown:

Yes, it's a little different with the S2000, because there are only two versions of that car. So if you refer to it by the engine code, you are accurately referring to those two versions; there aren't cars out there with other upgrades but the earlier engine code, the way there are for the NSX.

Actually that's not quite right either since the North American AP2s (2004 model year) got suspension and body tweaks along with a stroked out motor and different gearing while other markets kept the same motor and gearing. The JDM market got the stroked motor for 2006.

Re: brake it...

Try www.alltypeauto.com, also known as ERZ Cars... they generally have a lot of NSX parts (email or call them directly).

Another source for NSX parts is a vendor here on NSXPrime: KANE, call or email him @ [email protected] (206) 229-7856 (www.umbrellaautodesign.com).

GringoLoco,

Do you really want 97+ calipers or do you just want to go with 97+ sized rotors?

An alternative would be to go with the RacingBrake 91-96 to 97+ upgrade kit.
Fronts
Rears
If you do a search there are at least two other vendors(click on the smiles) where you can order these from.:wink:

It's always good to hold onto the OEM parts if you ever want to downgrade/sell the car at a later date.

I was going to temporarily powder coat my NA2 brakes while I wait for the BBK's but decided to just keep it stock since it's more valuable and easier to sell.

I would not even think of selling my oem rims / brakes / exhaust, etc since I know "one day" I will want to put the car back to stock to sell....

Rick, your NSX is pretty sweet, so if/when that "one day" comes, several of us will be looking for your number.:smile:

A pair of new calipers are about $800. Everything above that is a little bit pricey.

I apologize if this is threadjacking or advertizing, but I know how hard it is to find rare parts like these, I've been there many times. I have a full set for sale if you're interested.
