Hi
I saw Best Motoring - 2008-03 [R35GT-R TSUKUBA BATTLE][Gallardo.GT3.997T.NSX-R] the other day.
The new Nissan did not look bad in red. All had above 400bhp. So the NSX-R was the only one with just 280bhp.
The NSX-R did not do bad. The BM has always been pretty biased where the NSX-R has done better than what expected.
It did 400 meter against the Porsche GT3. The GT3 had 415bhp . NSX-R had 4.53/ps and the GT3 had 3.36kg/ps.
The GT3 did 400m in 12.461 and the NSX-R did it in 13.421.
In the final 400m it had the Gallardo SL vs the GT-R. That was 2.62kg/ps for the Gallardo and 3.63 kg/ps for the GT-R.
Damn that thing is pretty heavy. The GT-R won with 12.115 vs 12.177. So not by much at all.
Then a slalom run with all the cars. The NSX-R did it in 12.503. 911GT3 in 12.991. 911Turbo in 13.917.Gallardo SL in 12.443. GT-R in 12.534 with VDC-R on and 12.485 with VDC-R off. So it came third in slalom run.
Then a standard 5 lap race where the NSX-R started out third based on laptimes. The Porsche's in front and the Gallardo and then the GT-R at the back.
911 Turbo had 1.06.338. 911GT3 had 1.05.546. The NSX-R started third and had 1.04.329. The Gallardo SL had 1.02.187 and the GT-R at the back with no time for some reason. I guess it was the "one to beat".
After one lap the NSX-R was fourth and the GT-R was in hot pursuite of the two Porsches. The Gallardo came past the NSX-R during the second lap. On lap four the GT3 went past the 911 Turbo and the NSX-R also went past the 911 Turbo. The Gallardo and the GT-R was just gone. In the final lap the Gallardo went past the GT-R and the Gallardo won the battle.
The NSX-R was fourth with the 911Turbo behind it.
So that was not bad at all for a old car vs the newest new out there with a lot more bhp than our beloved NSX-R.
The movie can be found out there as I found it.
Regards
