So, now I have a NSX and from time to time I like to accelerate real fast. The way I do it is this:
With TCS on I just press the pedal (not too quick) and let the clutch come up real quick at about 1000-1500 rpm. As soon as the clutch is fully engaged I floor the pedal and then redline it in 1st (actually to about 8100rpm) and then shift to 2nd. I never get the feeling the engine bogs down or anything. The moment the car starts moving I might get some occasional tire-chirp but the wheels never spin (Continental 265/35 at the rear).
However, I've also read about people who will just start at anywhere between 3000 and 5000 rpm before the letting the clutch go. Do you get better times that way is it just a way to burnout your clutch?
