In the future, what cars do you think will be spotlighted from 2000 to 2010?

It can be anything from the most (bad ass) to the most influential (game changer).

Those are the first that come to mind. Not necessarily my personal fav's but cars that I think have made an impression on the car market, well sports car market and are game changers.

Upcoming, I think the new McLaren and F458 show a lot of promise as well as the Fisker cars.

I Agree. Based on my understanding (tv documentaries) the EV1 was the best alternative car built. It was so good that when GM canceled the program (because of the oil guys) everyone wanted to keep their car but a contract forced them to give it back.

while the enzo is cool. To me it's not a real car. If we were to say the Enzo was the best car we'd have to say that the Ferrari Formula 1 car is the best car also. It's like putting a nasa engineer in a third grade science fair.

"Absolutely!" Need to keep some link to the past heritage. Look at automatic and manual watches.

I think the gtr is more of a game changer as all of that cool stuff it does with it's complex computers we'll see in production cars soon. (if not already)

I do think the s2000 is todays third gen rx7. Def going to be a collectors item but they are making a ton of them so it will be while till that happens.

Lotus Elise(federal version): saved the company
Tesla: 1st electric car worthy of lust
S2000: reliable and virtually indestructable sports car
Ford Mustang ('05): started the whole retro-muscle-car craze
Ford GT: best of the retro-muscle craze
Prius: did what the Insight couldn't (market penetration)
Lambo Gallardo: (almost) mainstream, (relatively) reliable.
Ariel Atom: first of the minimalist G-Force bombs

S2000 is an exotic? I think the term exotic is thrown around a bit too much now adays.
