I used to think that.

Then I looked into TeleTrac. (Used by trucking companies to track the location of their fleet nationwide)

It works like LoJack but instead of taking a passive stance (activated only AFTER the car is stolen) Teletrac uses a tracking system where you can call an 800 number and will tell exactly where your car is, anytime and anywhere.  When your car is stolen, it will also tell you where the car is headed (gives names of streets/fwy) and at what speed.  When the car stops, the system tells the police the exact address of where it is.


I don't have this and I'm no expert in the system itself.  This is just what I found out during my research.  But I'm pondering on getting this over LoJack.
