Sounds like it might be programmed for passive locking &/or passive arming - if you leave it alone, after arming it with the remote, does it lock after a little while? Or does it lock if you press the button again?If that is the case, refer to the manual & re-program it for active locking & active arming if you prefer it that way.DEI (makers of Viper, Clifford, Python etc) has an excellent on-line manual section on their web-site - I downloaded mine from there, very useful.See here - http://www.directed.com/guides/ogs.asp
