Hello, just wondering who lives just over the border from WA state. It seems doing anything with the PACNW crew is dead, they either work to much or just dont care anymore. Im itching to go drive and have no one to go with.

move to Puget Sound area........ or better yet, to Socal.

There's really no PACNW crew, so to speak; i realized that like, 3 yrs ago... At least you haven't experienced going thru the whole hazzle of setting up some sort of meet, and then people flaked and the same familiar faces showed up.

I always credit that people just have other important things to do than meeting car people. Looks like there's some changes recently and we have some new blood.

If you say so, what ever you mean... I moved here from SO cal. I lived there most my life but didnt need to be shot by mexicans or car jackers. Its not a place to have a son grow up, or have your home or car robbed. I admit I am feeling the effects of boredom here. I am also wondering what your post has to do with what I posted above, besides you .02 . Maybe its me and I dont have to work. I guess since I am 34 and retired, I can move anywhere. I'll pick Canada. Thanks for the advice.

I'm in Burnaby, BC and work 10 minutes from the border in Cloverdale. I venture into WA maybe once a month. My NSX doesn't have full insurance on it. If there's a sunny weekend I'll put on temporary insurance and go for a rip. In late Spring I'll throw on full insurance for the summer and early fall. Last year when I had my Prelude I did the following:

-Loop Cruise: Vancouver -> Hope -> Cache Creek -> Pemberton -> Whistler -> Squamish -> Vancouver. This can be done in one day and is SUPER FUN. It's about 9 hours of driving and we break for lunch and dinner. The stretch from Cache Creek to Pemberton gets nutty with switchbacks and such. 10 cars is a good group for this cruise. Any more and it just gets congested. Bring along your 2-way, some water, and gas money and you're all set.

-Whidbey Island: Not bad. Nice scenery Bit of traffic on the island.

-Seattle Runs: Nothing interesting. Just the plain ol' I-5

-Vancouver to I-5 via Lougheed Hwy. This is nice for an afternoon trip. The stretch between Harrison and Hope is always empty.

-Random driving on weekends

Nice photoshop job Dave! There's no way you could of had kids that cute!

I live in North Van and try to do a few runs in southern BC each year, starting in May on the Victoria Day Long weekend (3rd weekend in May).

There is another thread about this started by aaronkamloops I believe. It involves heading to the Okanagan for Knox Mtn Hill Climb (Kelowna), 1/4 Mile Paved Oval racing (Penticton Speedway), Blossom Run (Summerland) and Peachland Show & Shine (Peachland).

None of the routes have been decided and there a number of ways to proceed depending on how much fun you want to have both getting there and returning.

A number of people "seem" to be interested but the proof will be in the pudding. I tried to do the same thing last year (as in organize something) and ended up on my own, which is fine as I was going anyway. You can reach me at [email protected]

If you do move up to Vancouver BC, be sure to hit up with Stacy. He's cool guy.

Don't take my comment offensively, I was meant to put a smiley  but I forgot...
I'll see you and your boy on Feb 2nd at the kart track!!!

your post did seem negative, but maybe I was just in a crapy mood and just didnt read it right, you know how that goes, anyway about karting, were going to try and make it. I hope I dont have to take the jeep, but it looks like I will (snow)
