Before and after - my cat Buchi. Pics one year apart !

These are pics of my cat Buchi, first few is from May 2002 when she was a few weeks old, and the last picture is from jun 2003 when she was about one year old and neutered and declawed (front paws only- but had to be done, she destroyed my apartment!)

Heh.

Amazing isnt it ?
I have the food being automatically fed to her and my other cat Dieter, but she still seems to maintain a very plump weight. I love her though, even with her constant shedding, and her hairballs she throws up all over the house, at 3-5 am, and at any other time when its not convenient !

CL65 Captain, that cat looks so big that it must have been Photoshopped

Modernceo, we've got two cats, one that's a bit overweight and one that is a bit underweight. It's quite challenging trying to make sure that the overweight one doesn't eat the underweight one's food.

For the long hair, try Laxatone. That said, this has been a bad year for hairballs with our long haired tabby...even with Laxatone every 2-3 days!

Sweet new pet thread!
The all whire persian is my little princess Audrey. She is super high maintenance. The second is my wife's flame point himalayain Fu Man Chu (she named him not me).

Your fat cat is cute. I know it is not healthy, but I always loved super fat cats.

cory,

great pics, your cat as a kitten is a ringer for our Queen, Pandora, when she was a kitten. Pandora (and her sister, Delilah) are maine coons, which is what your Buchi appears to be, no? (either that or a norwegian forest cat, but they're somewhat unusual here in the states).

you may well know this, but if Buchi is a maine, she will continue to grow until she matures, somewhere ~3-4 years of age.

Pandora is now ~20 lbs and Dee is slightly less - still very active (they're 8 & 7 respectively) and they're both over 3' 4" in length, nose to tailend. fwiw, they have their own web site www.twobigcats.com (family/friends usage).

as for the photo of the BIG CAT in this thread, he's a biggee, no doubt. Pan and Dee's father was 4' long and weighed 28 lbs when he was "showing"... **that's a BIG CAT**.

as for hair balls, i take about 5 mins a day to *gently* brush each of the cats and then give them the malt stuff... the brushing makes a HUGE difference... no throwing up, no horrible stuff, ever.

last thing: i noticed in your profile, you are into art deco... so are my wife and i... we've got a lot of deco (and noveau) throughout the house... pm me with any pics of stuff you'd like to share.

thx to all for sharing pics, they're great to see.

Laxatone, never heard of it.
Ill have to check into it. Anything that can help cut down on hairballs will be a great help no doubt !

Thank you all for sharing pics of your cats !
Ojas, shes a solid 12 lbs now.
Queenlives, Yes, I love architecture, and styling from the 1890's - 1950's. Ill be sending you a pm shortly.

Here are some pictures I just took of my two furry friends. Dieter (black, turtoiseshell) and Buchi (what Queenlives called a Maine Coon)
