Now it has been 3 years I drive my '91 NSX 6-7 trackdays per year. It's a track only car running slick tires. I still have stock brake system, some ducting, ss lines and Carbotech XP10/8 pads. The system goes weel and is reliable. I just feel that I could go with a little bit more power especially on higher speed tracks. With the present combo, my rotors crack after 7-8 trackdays.

I just have some question to choose the right system :

- I am in Europe and spare parts availlability is important. Is Stoptech spare parts network working well ?

- brake pads : do the major manufacturer make pads for the Stoptech as for Brembo calipers (Carbotech, PF, Hawk, etc...) ?

- ~1000 $ difference vs spare part availability. What do you think ?

- When you change the disc, you only change the disc and not disc + bell ? The bell is specific to the car but the discs and the calipers are the same for every car ?

Man, I loved the brake feel after going to a BBK. The limiting factor for me after the switch was tires - which you, considering you're running slicks, shouldn't have a problem with.

To answer:

- I've been web surfing for replacement rotors for my Stoptech Aerorotors and noticed that even other brake manufacturers are making replacement parts for Stoptech BBKs. YMMV in Europe though.

- yes, the major brake pad vendors make pads that will fit the St-40 caliper. You can even get the carbotech compounds you run now.

- I'd go with availability.

- you can go both ways, however, just changing the disc is the more frugal option.

At the end of the day, I don't think you'll be disappointed with any of the NSX BBK options.
