I just bought my red '91 which is in great condition. But when I got it home I noticed a buildup (bigtime) around the positive battery terminal. I rinsed it with a little Sod. Bicarb in water and it dissolved it away but then it kept on fizzing...obviously an acid leak around the + post. The battery died that night so I took it back to Frankel Acura and they replaced the battery and cable (which was eaten away by acid). they also took off the round battery disconnect switch from the negative terminal. The mechanic thought that it might be causing the alternator to overload the battery....The previuos owner had this switch installed over 2 years ago and I find it hard to believe it took this long to show a problem... I left the switch off of the car for now since they paid for the fix...Any one have experience with this or maybe an opinion..??
