Anyone have a good shop? kinda hesitant to just go to Sears and have them do it....also would it be an easy DIY? its the first time it has died on me....

thanks...

it is not hard.

you have to remove your spare tire.
Undo the spare tire bracket.

slide out the battery tray
remove the battery tie down and terminals.

of course reverse everything to install the battery.

Just did mine... took about 1 hour but I cleaned lots of things under the hood while I had the spare out. Very easy DIY.

Easy DIY. Watch your lower back. You need a 10mm socket (I use a deep socket with an extension).

Disconnect negative terminal first (black one), then positive (red one).

Reconnect positive terminal first (red one), then negative (black one).

Sears should be able to do this in their sleep.

You really want to have somebody else put in a new battery? Its really simple and a good thing to know how to do.

Thanks for the replies, will be getting one tonight and doing it, just never had to till now.

I dont have a spare in and have the DALI type tool box in there, havent looked yet but hopefully not to hard to take out...thanks again...
