Battery Cable Problem

My negative cable keeps popping of the terminal because the metal ring thingie at the end of the cable is cracked.

Kinda embarrassing to pop the hood and fiddle with the battery in parking lots

I am ordering a new cable from Acura, but I was wondering if there was something I could do in the interim to help it stay on.

If you go to your local auto parts store you will find a variety of battery terminal connectors there.Since your ordering a new cable i would just cut the old connector off and strip back the wire and use the clamp type wire connection battery terminal.
